techniques of poetry

without the craft, it is a jumble of ideas
floating around
not making much sense
to anyone
but the author

For Monday's class, we were asked to write a pop culture poem - something that references an entity.  Traditionally, this is a painting or a work of art.  The goal of writing it is to meditate on something, then write a poem about it.  So, I have chosen this article (attached above) from GOOD and thinking about a story.  We'll see where it goes.  It is a rough draft right now, but a draft is always a good start.
