cite yo sources!

I have to admit, I am guilty of just posting stuff on blogs and facebook, without proper citation.  But the Internet feels so impersonal, open, and free, so why would I constrict myself to scholarly modes of citing?  However, after writing a thesis and adequately dealing with the CSS major and all of the citing that they hound you for, I found this article from Brain Picker to be quite poignant.
