Sometimes it is shocking how talented my friends are. I was speaking with my friend, Hernan, about his summer plans. We met at SFAI and instantly clicked. I am sad that he will be away all summer. He is back in Costa Rica promoting his full feature movie (or film, I suppose, is the proper noun there). I then proceeded to check out some of his shorts.
This one particularly struck me
This film reminds me of those countless times that we walked around the city together, talking about how great San Francisco light is during the night. I love his use of color and those few glances of his shadow against the walls as he walks through the streets.
